Kiowa Peyote Rattle Earrings c.1940’s
These Kiowa Peyote Rattle Earrings are rather special. The peyote rattle was played during Native American Church ceremonies, which combine Native and Christian beliefs. The Plains Indian jewellery was never made for tender, only for ceremonial purposes.
